Prithvi achieved the Zero Defect (ZED) Certification under the Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) scheme launched by the Ministry of MSME. The project envisages the promotion of Zero Defect and Zero Effect (ZED) manufacturing amongst MSMEs.
This MSME Sustainable (ZED) scheme is in line with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision that will significantly benefit the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) in India.
Prithvi’s FM team managed the entire maintenance and inventory operations manually in its corporate facility at Tiruppur. They could not glean critical information like maintenance costs, material usage, waste, etc., which caused delays at every stage, consuming time and draining resources.
So, the team was looking for a software solution that could automate all their maintenance activities. It includes organizing crucial information: tracking & managing assets/equipment like bursting tester, flatlock cylinder bed machine, elastic metering device, fabric inspection machine, zig-zag machine, etc., and managing inventory to provide better visibility into and control of goods flow and mobility for admins to manage purchase orders swiftly on the move.
Prithvi’s FM team required an enterprise maintenance management solution that could streamline their maintenance and inventory operations while providing mobility for their users.

The project went live in January 2019.
Implementing eFACiLiTY® Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/CMMS) Software helped Prithvi Inner Wears set up a centralized system that had all the key information required to handle daily maintenance operations. It allowed them to easily track & manage assets/equipment information, and schedule preventive maintenance for all equipment/assets, thereby improving overall efficiency and productivity.
eFACiLiTY® made it easy for the team to automate and manage inventory operations that provided real-time visibility, up-to-date record of inventory, and automated alerts when stock needed to be re-ordered. With eFACiLiTY® implemented, other inventory management features such as Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Approvals were also carried out smoothly.
Using the eFACiLiTY® Smart Facility App, technicians were able to validate asset details, view asset histories, etc., and admin users reviewed purchase orders and approved them quickly through their mobile phones.
eFACiLiTY® enabled Prithvi in handling 500+ monthly purchase orders efficiently and automated all major maintenance activities, significantly increasing their productivity. The smart mobile application provided field technicians with real-time access to all machine information that helped them to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.
